The Syyskiekka event at Halikko Sports Hall

This event has taken accessibility partially in account.

There is barrier-free access to the sporthall, but the sports facilities are located on the ground floor of the hall and the barrier-free entrance to them is through the hall's side door. A disabled person needs an assistant who must ask the main door lobby for help opening the side entrance. Most of the event's activities are also suitable for disabled people.

Syyskiekka offers activities for the whole family, both guided and independent! In collaboration with the sports, culture, and youth services of the city of Salo.

The Halikko Syyskiekka event will include:

fun dance games
adventurous tracks
inspiring instructors
pop-up youth center with games, crafts, and bingo
cultural services character generator
Sound bath for children/teens and their parents (more information below)

Sound bath is a wonderful moment of relaxation for a child and parent, where a guided visualization journey is accompanied by beautiful sounds. The sound bath, held in the dance hall of the Halikko sports hall, features Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, rain sticks, drums, and wind chimes. Participants lie under a blanket during the sound bath and are welcome to fall asleep. The duration of one sound bath is approximately 30 minutes. The sound baths led by Saara Rauvala are one of the contents of the Participatory Budgeting in Salo in 2024.

Wear comfortable clothes
Sound baths are suitable for primary school-aged children and teens, as well as their parents:
- 12:00: 1st-4th graders (and younger children with their parents)
- 13:00: 5th graders and older

Each group can accommodate 16 people.
