Taiteiden Yä – cultural happiness in Salo

Singing, playing, dancing, theater, and the joy of movement!

An open and diverse cultural event, Taiteiden Yä, is organized in the city center on Thursday, August 29th, for all city residents. Most of the events during Taiteiden Yä are free of charge.

Taiteiden Yä is an event that reflects Salo and its’ residents. There are plenty of events organized by dozens of cultural actors in the city center. You can also participate with your own performance, even if only for a moment – you can draw, play, sing, dance, or do almost anything in the middle of the city, delighting the audience. Join Taiteiden Yä to perform, sell, or enjoy!

This year, the themes of the event are ROOTS AND WINGS. Roots keep us firmly grounded in the basics – in our own community, culture, and in the frames that define us. Wings take us to new experiences, sensations, cultures, and worlds.

All cultural actors in Salo, individual cultural enthusiasts, performers, artists, and anyone else interested are invited to join Yä – become part of our amazing group!

The initiator and main organizer of the Taiteiden Yä event is EtnoSalo ry, a multicultural organization encouraging diversity in Salo.
