This event has taken accessibility partially in account.

Welcome to get to know the people of Käpykolo and to make miniature objects at the free workshop of Children’s Culture in March!

In the workshop, Leena Parkkinen and Zagros Manuchar will introduce the audience to the world of Käpykolo. In the workshop, we will make miniature objects such as mini books and plants, as well as earrings. The workshop is in a non-stop format, you can join in crafting whenever you want during the event!

The people of Käpykolo are a new family, multiculturalism, and ecology-themed book series by visual artist Zagros Manuchar and writer Leena Parkkinen. In addition to the stories, the books feature delightful photographic illustrations. The squirrels in the books are made by felting and their home is built inside a 1960s television.

Recommended age: from preschoolers to all ages.

Language: Finnish, English, Kurdish.

The workshop will be held in the Laurinsali room located in the basement of the main library. The space is also accessible by elevator.

The workshop is organized by Salon Cultural Services and Library Services.
