Formed in 2016, Tuomas Paukku Scription represents a strong and personal vision in Finnish contemporary jazz. The ensemble which released its second album in 2023, interprets the distinctive and atmospheric music composed by guitarist Tuomas Pauku with impressive devotion.

Scription’s style is based on modern jazz impressionism and post-bop, but constantly finds new nuances and perspectives in its music also from the outer edges of jazz expression. Paukku’s limitless musical interest stand out tonally and flamboyantly. The bold Scandinavian atmosphere and cyclical progress of Scription’s music have excited music lovers across genre boundaries.
