Taiteiden Yä and Baltic Sea Day’s program at the Salo City Hall

The café-restaurant Kaneliomena in the City Hall is open from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Program includes:

• John Nurminen Foundation’s Baltic Sea-themed art exhibition Message from the Sea.
• Info Hanna’s bingo from 5 pm to 5:45 pm in meeting rooms Tammi and Tuomi (In Finnish)
• Cultural Services’ Cultural Image Studio in the City Hall lobby from 4 pm to 7 pm.
• From 4 pm to 7 pm, at the Salo Adult Education Centre’s stand, visitors can explore the photography and newspaper clipping albums Salo and Perniö Adult Education Centres from the 1980s and 1990s, and take part in a chance poetry workshop. Participants can create poems using word cards, adding as many words as they wish. The poetry theme is Culture and the Baltic Sea.
• The Housing Fair Office will be open in the lobby from 4 pm to 7 pm for those interested in the Housing Fair Salo 2028 project. The plot application period is open from September 1 to October 31, and members of the Housing Fair team will be available to answer questions and provide further information. 
  Also attending will be representatives from Jetta-Talo and Pure Home Nordic Oy, who will present different options for making your dream home a reality.
• Music School performance from 6 pm to 6:45 in café restaurant Kaneliomena
• 4:00 PM–7:00 PM At the Salon Vesi information point, the theme is the importance of wastewater treatment in water protection. What happens to wastewater at the Salo Central Wastewater Treatment Plant before the treated water is discharged into Halikonlahti Bay and the Baltic Sea? Children can also enjoy fishing activities.
• 4:00 PM–7:00 PM The Environmental Protection Unit of the City of Salo will present the city’s ongoing water protection projects: the Halikonlahti Project, the Vital Uskelanjoki River Project, and the Plastic-Free Crumbs Campaign (Mahanpuruja muovista).
• 4:00 PM–7:00 PM Visitors can practice sorting waste using LSJH’s waste-sorting kit.
• 4:00 PM–7:00 PM SYKE’s PlastLIFE project will provide information about the circular economy of plastics at the Housing Fair.
