Salo walking tour – The river, the railway and the radio

Come and join a walking tour around the centre of Salo! You will learn about both ancient and more recent history of Salo, from ancient routes and roads to the emergence of the electronics industry, with a glimpse into the future and the forthcoming housing fair. You will also hear about influential figures that made their
mark in the cityscape and the development of the market town and current-day Salo, and spot a few hidden gems you may have overlooked.
The tour is suited for both visitors and residents who wish to learn more about their current home town.

Good to know
Dress for the weather and wear appropriate walking gear. Don't forget your water bottle and umbrella.

Accessibility
There are some uphill sections and uneven surfaces, but we’ll keep a moderate pace and avoid stairs and
steep kerbs.
