Performers
Martti Servo & Napander
Blending traditional Finnish schlager expression with influences from punk, rock, and reggae, Martti Servo & Napander is one of Finland’s most distinctive light music bands. The group’s humorous, warm-hearted, and occasionally socially conscious songs have drawn inspiration from artists such as Junnu Vainio and Irwin Goodman. Having toured hundreds upon hundreds of live stages throughout their career, the quintet always delivers an unforgettable evening and show for their audience.
The band was founded in 1997 and continues to perform with its original lineup. Their well-known songs include Maailman sinisin taivas, Ufo tarjosi kaakaon, Sauna, Viikonloppu, Hitti-Litti Litmanen, and Mikä on kun ei taidot riitä?
Songs by the band have also been recorded in new versions by artists including Antti Ketonen & Neljänsuora.
Über Aber
In the company of Über Aber, ties are allowed to loosen or even move onto your forehead. Dancing is encouraged, and every style is welcome. Musical boundaries joyfully disappear in favor of atmosphere and fun.
The band’s tools are accordion, acoustic guitar, bass, drums, and vocal power. With them, Über Aber blasts out musical gems perfectly suited to the theme. In true Oktoberfest style, traditional drinking songs will also be sung together, of course!
Sohon Torwet
Sohon Torwet — more familiarly known as the philharmonic wind orchestra of the Satakuntalais-Hämäläinen Student Nation of the Student Union at the Finnish, later nationalized and nowadays public-law University of Turku.
