Salo Bus Tour: the sword, the sugar and the SMS – Crash course to Salo, past and present

Come and join a guided tour on four wheels to explore the city of Salo! The tour will take you around central Salo and Halikko areas. You will learn about both ancient and more recent history of Salo, from the medieval times to the emergence of the electronics industry, with a glimpse into the future and the forthcoming housing fair. You will also hear about the vibrant cultural life of Salo, both past and present.

Around Halikko, you’ll hear about the numerous manor houses and the old church. We’ll make a stop at Rikalanmäki Hill for a quick look at the ancient trail as well as refreshments.

The tour is suited for both visitors and residents who wish to learn more about their current home town.

The tour is not entirely accessible (Rikalanmäki Hill and ancient trail), but is also suitable for those with limited mobility.
