QQ-Group’s Pumpkin Week Stone Painting Workshop

At the Pumpkin Festival, QQ-Group invites artists of all ages to create their own artworks on stones. In the workshop, you can paint, for example, your own pumpkin stone or come up with something else related to autumn or Halloween. In the end, the only limit is your imagination. If you don’t want to paint yourself, you are also welcome to admire the creations of others on the display table of painted stones that will be formed during the event. The workshop will also include some small side activities, which QQ-Group will announce later on the Facebook event page.

Stones and other painting supplies will be provided on site, and participation is free of charge. No advance registration is required, but supplies and space are limited, so it’s best to come with a flexible schedule. If you wish, you can also bring your own stone to paint.

The stones are painted with acrylic paints, which dry in about 15–60 minutes. If you like, you can wait for the paint to dry and then varnish the stone at the workshop to make the artwork more durable. If needed, QQ-Group can also handle the varnishing for you, and you can pick up your finished artwork, dried and varnished, from the workshop on Monday, October 20. You can either take your painted stone home as a keepsake or leave it with QQ-Group to be hidden somewhere later to delight a future finder. With QQ-Group, the stones will also travel around Finland as part of trade fair and event construction projects. #FinStones

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. The space is accessible, except for the restroom. The restroom is on the ground floor, but it is small and therefore does not meet accessibility standards.
