Nordic Championship Sheepdog Trials

The Finnish Shepherd Dog Association SPKY organizes the Nordic Championship Sheepdog Trials at Mikkola Sheep Farm in Hajala, Salo from 9th to 11th August. The trials will take place in a field next to Hajala School, located at Vanha Turuntie 896. Expect excellent teamwork between skilled handlers and top-notch dogs. The competition will feature representative teams from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the Faroe Islands.

The trials will last from early morning to late evening on Friday and Saturday, as 45 dog-handler pairs compete in the qualifying round. Based on the combined results of the qualifying days, the top 16 will advance to the challenging final round on Sunday. The Hajala Home School Committee will run a café during the trials, and there will also be exhibition booths from partner organizations in the barn on the field.

The public is welcome to attend the trials free of charge. Note: Dress appropriately for the weather! There are a limited number of seating options in the field, but you can also bring your own camping chair.
