Two-Day Wooden Boat Festival Invites Boating Enthusiasts to an Unforgettable Experience in Mathildedal!

In summer 2025, boating lovers and classic boat enthusiasts will gather for the very first Wooden Boat Festival in Mathildedal! This unique event takes over the guest marina of Mathildan Marina from 27 to 28 June 2025, offering a stunning display of traditional wooden boats, expert talks and immersive experiences.

A Maritime Atmosphere in a Historic Setting

The ironworks village of Mathildedal is an experience in itself – and during the festival weekend, the village’s guest marina will be filled with beautiful, carefully maintained wooden boats. Visitors will have the chance to explore the traditions of boating, learn about the craftsmanship required to restore wooden boats and engage in discussions with classic boat owners and experts.

Throughout the weekend, maritime entertainment continues with live music performances. The village’s rich history comes to life through guided historical tours led by actors. In addition, Mathildedal’s charming artisan shops, restaurants, and accommodation options ensure a cozy and memorable weekend for the whole family.

The event is organized by the entrepreneurs of Mathildedal and classic boat expert Jani Vahto. He is known as the owner of the beautifully restored wooden boat Bonito. Vahto also runs one of the largest classic boating accounts on Instagram: Classic Boats Finland.
