Local Food Day in Vuohensaari

The Vuohensaari café-restaurant is taking part in Local Food Day on 12–13 September 2026

At our café-restaurant, you can enjoy delicacies made from Finnish and locally sourced ingredients. On Local Food Day, we’ll be serving, amongst other things, home-baked goods such as carrot cake, pumpkin pie and ‘Voima’ bean pancakes made from Salo-grown broad beans.

There’s plenty more to enjoy on the event days:

• Identify Finnish vegetables and win a harvest basket
• Discover local produce
• Try the ‘Voima’ broad bean patties and pick up a recipe and some broad bean products to take home
• There’s also an autumn wreath-making workshop on Sunday.
