KAIRA is an interesting combination of top musical and cultural influencers. Band’s idea is extraordinary. Once a decade, a group of leading jazz musicians join forces to make an album of new Finnish jazz. The composition of the band varies according to the music genre.
KAIRA’s second album, AIR, was released in March 2024. The music is written by Markus Niittynen and Lauri Kaira, and the album’s impressive atmosphere is complemented by a strong brass section representing the absolute best of Finnish jazz.
