SaloJazz celebrates 100 years of Finnish jazz and Independence Day pre-party with a dance ball!
The evening kicks off with a lindy hop dance lesson by Mikke Tilli and Marianna Manninen. You can dance to the rhythm of the SwingingMamas vocal group and Elina Kardén & The Stompy Stompers.
SwingingMamas is a vocal group formed in 2018 by three music professionals from Salo. In addition to three-part harmonies, the trio also plays the violin and flute. Their music style includes 50s and 60s chansons and light jazz. Get ready for joy, color, and beautiful singing!

Elina Kardén & Stompy Stompers play authentic jazz music with a high-quality sound suitable for both dancing and listening. This lineup of highly skilled musicians will take you on a journey back to the 1930s across the Atlantic. Kardén has been working in the music industry for over ten years as a singer, vocal teacher, composer, lyricist, arranger, and musical actress. As a jazz singer, she is particularly known for her skill in scat singing improvisation.
