Ida Alanen Trio @ SaloJazz Festival

The music of the Ida Alanen Trio draws inspiration from visual shapes, organic textures, and dream imagery. The trio interprets Alanen’s compositions masterfully, effortlessly playing within the space between meticulously orchestrated compositions and free improvisation. Based in Amsterdam, pianist-composer Ida Alanen possesses a personal style as both a writer and improviser with influences from a wide range of musical genres, including minimalism, 20th-century composers, and folk music.
