From Mozart to Linkola – Concert of Kimitoön Music Festival
In Finland, there used to be a horn septet in every parish. The repertoire was enriched when Madetoja put pen to paper to the rhythm of ‘horn music’. Composers of our time continue the tradition. The mischievous Pierrot, familiar from the Commedia dell’arte, danced in Debussy’s mind as he wrote his cello sonata, imbued with reverie and playfulness. The concert concludes with Mozart’s heavenly beautiful music.
