The Anti-Racism Week is celebrated every year in the 12th week of March. During the week, we highlight the themes of non-discrimination, anti-racism, equality and diversity.
On Wednesday 20th March 2024 at we invite you to Eastern Melodies -concert at the cultural space Näkkäri, Ylhäistentie 2. The concert starts at 11 am, free entry.
Eastern Melodies is a band founded in 2023 in Helsinki, which plays versatile music from the Middle East. The band’s musicians come from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Finland. Eastern Melodies introduces Arab music culture to Finnish listeners, highlighting the bright and positive side of Middle Eastern culture, and strengthens the cultural roots of Arab communities and immigrants living in Finland.
